Google and AI
Both Trust. Links from authoritative publishers tell Google you are the expert. E-E-A-T signals tell AI tools the same. We build both together - so your rankings compound and your brand gets cited across every search channel.
Every Ranking. Google uses links from other websites as votes of confidence. A link from a trusted, high-authority publisher tells Google your site is credible and worth ranking. But in 2024, Google updated its core quality signals under E-E-A-T - Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness - as the framework it uses to evaluate whether content deserves to rank above competitors. The same signals that satisfy E-E-A-T also determine whether AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity cite your brand. A link profile built on real authority from relevant, trusted publications does not just move your Google rankings - it makes your brand the entity that AI models reach for when generating recommendations in your category.
It Is the Ranking Signal. Links and E-E-A-T are not secondary ranking factors - they are the primary differentiator between you and a competitor with similar on-page optimisation. Without authority, good content stays invisible.
Real Authority. A 6-phase process that combines link acquisition, E-E-A-T signal building and authority-led content - all designed to create durable rankings that compound over time.
and E-E-A-T. All In. A complete link building and E-E-A-T programme covering acquisition, optimisation and monitoring - everything your domain needs to outrank and outrank durably.
Last. Not Links
That Risk. Most link building agencies sell volume. We sell quality and durability - because a single penalty from a bad link profile can wipe out years of rankings. We build authority the right way, at the right pace.
1How many links do you build per month and from what types of sites?
We build 5-10 editorial links per month, depending on the engagement tier. Every link comes from a site with a minimum DR of 50 that is topically relevant to your niche. We vet every prospect manually for organic traffic, editorial quality, spam score and contextual relevance before any outreach begins.
Links are placed editorially - in real articles, roundups, guides and resources where the inclusion is genuinely useful to the reader. We do not use PBNs, link farms or mass guest post networks. If a placement does not meet our editorial standards, we do not accept it regardless of the DA.
2How long does it take to see ranking improvements from link building?
Most clients begin to see meaningful ranking movement within 60 to 90 days of link acquisition starting. The timeline depends on how competitive your target keywords are, how strong your existing link profile is and how quickly Google recrawls the linking pages.
For less competitive keywords on a domain that already has some authority, movement can appear within 30 days. For high-competition terms on newer domains, it typically takes 3 to 6 months of consistent link building to see consistent ranking progression. Authority compounds - the longer you build, the faster future links move the needle.
3What is E-E-A-T and why did Google add the extra E?
E-E-A-T stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness. Google originally used E-A-T (without Experience) as the quality evaluation framework. The additional E for Experience was added in December 2022.
The difference matters practically. Expertise means you know about a topic. Experience means you have actually done it - and Google now wants to see first-hand evidence: documented results, case studies, first-person accounts, real data. This is particularly important for YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) topics like finance, health and legal, but Google applies it broadly. It is the reason practitioner-authored content and documented case studies now outperform generic expert-written content in competitive niches.
4Do you use PBNs or guest post networks? What is the risk?
No. We never use PBNs (Private Blog Networks), link farms or mass guest post schemes. These tactics violate Google's webmaster guidelines and carry two categories of risk: manual actions, where a Google reviewer flags your site resulting in ranking suppression that requires months of remediation; and algorithmic penalties, where updates like Google Penguin devalue or penalise unnatural link profiles automatically.
The short-term ranking bump from PBN links is real - and the subsequent crash when Google catches the pattern is equally real. We have seen domains take 12 to 18 months to recover from penalty recovery situations. We build only editorial links from genuine publications, which means slower initial build but permanent, compounding authority with zero penalty risk.
5Does link building help with AI search citations (GEO)?
Yes, significantly. AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini use web content and authoritative sources as the foundation of their knowledge. A brand with strong backlinks from trusted publishers signals credibility to these systems in exactly the same way it signals credibility to Google. When an LLM is generating a recommendation, it preferentially surfaces brands it has encountered repeatedly in authoritative contexts.
Links from publications like Forbes, Entrepreneur, Search Engine Journal and industry-specific authorities make your brand more recognisable as a credible entity to both Google and AI systems. This is one of the core reasons we focus on editorial quality over volume - a placement in a respected publication serves both ranking and AI citation goals simultaneously.
6What happens if a link I paid for gets removed?
Every link we build is monitored monthly using automated tools that flag removals, noindex changes and link attribute modifications. If a link is removed, we receive an alert and immediately contact the publisher to resolve it. In the majority of cases, removed links are a result of site restructuring or content updates rather than intentional removal, and they are restored.
If a link cannot be restored on the original placement, we replace it with an equivalent or higher-quality link at no additional cost. Our 96% link retention rate at 12 months means this situation is rare - but our monitoring process ensures you are never in a position where you are losing authority without knowing about it.
